When and Where is the Celebration?
The Loving Project commemorates the 50th anniversary of Loving v. Virginia, the Supreme Court decision that struck down state laws banning interracial marriage. The Loving Project tells stories of contemporary mixed race couples in the Philadelphia area, 50 years after the loving decision.
The exhibit features portraits of local mixed race couples along with audio of them telling their stories. The couples featured are part of a year-long podcast series available at www.lovingproject.com.
